SLIDEWINDER™

I have carried this knife clipped to my pocket for 7 years and I use it every day it has never failed me. I have bought this for friends and family Great product. I keep a new one in my toolbox just incase I loose the one I have l have had for a long time.

I bought the Slidewinder off Amazon and it worked fine for around 3 months. My main complaint is the spring that holds the retractable lock broke on me, making the knife unsafe and unreliable. Took it apart to show how it broke. Overall, it’s an okay tool, not bad for $11, just be aware of this.

Black clip broke off less than a month after buying this. The tiny plastic tabs are way too small for this application. Seems like a decently made product except for this weak mechanism. Do better.

Obviously, I like the knife! I have ordered several. It is convenient, easy to handle and much handier that a boxcutter.
The only downside is the weak return spring. My daily use for this item involves opening and closing the knife 50-100 times per day. After about 3 weeks of daily use, the return spring breaks, and the knife is now unsafe to use. I have had 3 or 4 warranty replacements in the past 12 - 18 months. I would much prefer that the spring be made more reliable than to continue to replace knives several times a year!

Awesome compact utility knife for every day carry!

Bought thinking this would be a good small alternative to a larger folding utility knife. It doesn't sit in my pocket well, is cumbersome and difficult to open, and generally does not fit in my hand well.

I really enjoyed it but its small and it fell out of my pocket at work within a couple days

I just bought my slidewinder and have carried for over 3 weeks. I am a knife buff and can honestly say the quality and the price point combined makes this knife one of the best bangs for your buck in the world for EDC use.
I love pocket knives, but in my older age, I've realized that the big, bulky, large bladed heavy folders that everyone seems to carry are mostly unnecessary, specifically for 95% of daily use. Opening packages, cutting string or zip ties, cutting down cardboard, or any standard everyday use can be done easily with a much smaller and lighter knife like this model. It helps that it has some added little features to use in a pinch, and my favorite feature is the utility blade.
The world has gotten more sensitive over the years towards knives (rightfully so) so there are occasions where without considering - a pocket knife is not welcome. I'm not talking on airplanes (which everyone knows) but examples like last year when I was in Philly - We went to see the Liberty Bell, and they were wanding people and checking for knives. Apparently people have scratched or scrapped the bell in the past and now a simple pocket knife is forbidden due to the actions of a few disrespectful people. I never considered this would be an issue. I had to walk my daily carry folder the entire way back to my car. If I was carrying the Slidewinder, I could have removed the $0.10 utility blade and discarded it. I could have carried on with no issues and replace the blade at a later time. I love having a blade handy at all times but not worrying about what I would do in situations like this in the future. It is also convenient that I no longer worry about sharpening blades. With a 3 second swap, I can always have a brand new sharp blade with no effort at all.
It's light, handy, decent quality for the price point, and can handle 95% of uses a pocket knife is needed for. For the cost - Get yourself the 2 pack. Have a back up, or hook a friend up!!!

Love these little buggers! Give them as gifts now, and just about anyone can appreciate them. I use them daily in retail and love each little feature.

No tool to replace blade. Also have another knife that won't lock in the blade even on the first day.

This little wonder is such a game changer. It took a little finesse to get used to the locking mechanism with a smooth push in and slide motion, but I love that this is a thing to protect against accidental deployment of the blade while in your pocket (I've seen a few broken clip reviews and I'm convinced that they were forced open a time or two instead of taking the time to get familiar with it). Aside from the obviously useful & convenient utility blade, the remaining bottle opener and screwdrivers are pretty strategically placed to have a decent angle of use without adding any bulk. I had one - loved it, lost it. Bought another - loved it, lost it. And I plan on getting another. At this price point, being this well made, being this lightweight, there is nothing better out there. Highly recommend.

The knife is very handy but after 3 months the return springs break it really isn’t needed it should be eliminated or a better spring should be installed

Absolutely handy. Easy to open, easy to close. Compact size means easy to carry, and readily available. Screwdriver corners are a plus and work. I love this tool.

This tool covers about 90% of my EDC needs. Replaced an expensive multi-tool that I honestly was too worried about dulling the blade or losing bits; multi-tool is still near by but I barely need it with this around.

Seems to be a common issue and the “warranty” claim wants you to pay for shipping and they will fix it. So I can’t even return it to my local AutoZone where I bought it from

For $10 you won't find a more useful tool.

Very smooth. You would be better off spending $1.49 and getting one of those retractable tools with the break off blades.

Great little knife it appears to be well built and durable who would pay 80 dollars for a tpt slide can’t beat for the price

This is a good every light duty utility blade with the built in phillips and flat head drivers, along with the bottle opener which is a great after work tool. I dropped it once and the black thumb tap broke off. Seeing the tab and how it attaches to the slider (2 tiny locking fingers), it's not a very good design for attachment. I've had it for about 4 months. I tried uploading a picture that is 15.3kb, but your website says it's taking too long to upload....
