Not the best effort from OE

I'm a huge fan of the OE approach with replaceable blades, especially the way the blades are interchangeable (for the most part). Unfortunately this model is a let down. The tang used to open the blade is not big enough, and maybe that's deliberate, but it doesn't offer the torque required to easily fully open the blade reliably. Whatever, skill issue, but I've also got 4 other units that I'm comparing this to (several VX and EDC models), and they are all much better. Also, unlocking the blade and allowing it to fall to close causes a bounce, it doesn't remain shut like the other blades as well. Both of these detract from what would otherwise be a stellar working model. I'm giving it three stars because obviously it's still functional and the fit and finish quality are really quite high. It's just disappointing these two attributes detract from what would be otherwise a 5 star model.

For $80 I thought this would be a much better

For $80 I thought this would be a much better knife. The blade is sharp and it’s nice you can replace it but I’m surprised there’s no spring to open it…

It’s a good knife but…

It’s a good knife, strong and sturdy. I just wish it was assist-open like their Razor VX1. That’d make me buy again for sure. But I’ll still get some use out of this blade.
