Very sharp knife love

Very sharp knife love them

Good knives… but

I’ve had a number of these knives over the years and dressed a lot of game with them in the field. Love the ability to change the blade anytime I choose for a super sharp replacement and the thinness to get between bone joints is great. The blades last an acceptable period and are relatively cheap to replace. I’ve found over time blood causes the metal components to rust leading to the failure of the locking mechanism. When ever possible I’ve washed them immediately and always remove the blade after use as dried blood in the blade holder will stop you for changing blades in the field once dried. Summary… great knife but they don’t last forever despite careful ownership.

This is my first purchase of an Outdoor Edge replaceable blade knife

This is my first purchase of an Outdoor Edge replaceable blade knife. I liked the concept from EDC to hunting game use. The blade provided is razor sharp, nice. The grip and finger contours are fine.
That said, the first use was cutting up an Apple which ended up with Apple embedded in the raise blade holding edge. This required my removal of the blade to clean the base unit. The return of the blade and click engagement took a few attempts to secure properly.
This a 4 rating on first time of a simple use.

I really like the replaceable blades

I really like the replaceable blades. I have yet to dress a dear or hog w it but experince tells me this will work great. I just hope the sheath holds up on my belt. It look pretty sturdy but time will tell. Blades slip right in & out with no issue.
