Sharp, reliable set with fast shipping

Fast shipping, and arrived incredibly sharp and ready to be put to use. So grateful to have these.

Dull right out of the box

My husband received this set from my mother for Christmas, 2024. We used it last week to gut and fillet 2 Pacific salmon. He spent a WHOLE DAY trying to sharpen the boning knife. He started with the honing steel, didn't do anything. He moved to his wet stone and it took him hours to get even a slight edge on it. What kind of blade doesn't sharpen. Looking at getting it done professionally, or buying a different set. Not sure what else to do.
Really cool set but seriously not helpful when it says "sharp out of the box" and turns out it actually isn't.

Great set of knives at an even better price.

Knives are very sharp right out of the box and hold an edge really well. All you need to process a deer. We have a processing business and Outdoor Edge are the only knives we use.

Great basic knife set.

Used twice already this year. Has everything you need to break a deer down. They hold there edge well and feel comfortable. The sharpener works well too. Only complaint is the blow molded case 1 tab doesn't lock down. But I don't use this in the field it sits on a shelf until I break an animal down. I would buy this again and it's an affordable price keeping a bunch of unnecessary stuff out.
