I purchased the Razor VX5 mid September of 2024.
Since the purchase of this knife it has been used for mild to medium duty tasks ranging from cutting steak to carving wood.
The knife performs well as it's intended use for light duty tasks such as making quick work of breaking down boxes and cutting rope. I prefer the straight edge for most tasks and it holds an edge really well.
I'm on my second replacement blade, a quick run across a strop or stone will get them back to hair splitting sharp for longer life.
Concerns: The blade will pop out if down force and drawing the the blade in a saw motion is used. So if you are cutting thick card board or shaving wood it can release on its own. This is unexpected and sometimes dangerous.
The pretty red anodized spacers in the back of the knife are only coated and the finish wears off. Disappointing because I really like the way it looks against the carbon fiber.
The pocket clip has loosened up twice and eventually I needed to remove it and add thread locker to keep them from falling out.
Conclusion: as a every day knife it works pretty good, the cosmetics finishes don't hold up, but look nice. The replacement blades are incredible. If you need to use this knife for heavy duty tasks it will fail.
