Outdoor Edge Chemical Disclosure

In accordance with California Assembly Bill 1200 (Health & Safety Code §§ 109000–109012), this page discloses the chemicals present in our cookware products that also appear on the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) designated list, along with the authoritative lists on which they appear.

For each chemical, we identify the component it is used in, its Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) number, the authoritative list(s) it appears on, and a link to the DTSC record. These chemicals are common to a family of products rather than a single item, so each section below identifies the material and the retail SKUs it applies to.

To confirm that these components are safe for food contact, Outdoor Edge also had the products independently tested by SGS for extractable (migrating) heavy metals. Those results are summarized in the Independent Testing section below.

Independent Testing — SGS Heavy-Metal Migration Results

Both materials were tested by SGS-CSTC Standards Technical Services (Ningbo) Co., Ltd. for extractable heavy metals migrating into food, referencing EN 13130-1:2004 (ICP-MS) under the EU / EDQM Technical Guide on metals and alloys in food-contact materials. Testing used a 0.5% citric acid simulant at 40 °C for 1 hour. Odour and taste were also evaluated (DIN 10955:2024).

Material tested Extractable heavy metals (22 elements) Odour / taste Overall
Knife blade steel All Not Detected — every element (Cr, Ni, Mn, Fe, Cu, As, Cd, Pb, Hg, and 13 others) below the reporting limit. 0.0 / 0.0 (limit 2.5) Pass
Honing rod steel All Not Detected except Iron, detected at 3.33 mg/kg (1st+2nd) and 2.84 mg/kg (3rd) — far below the limits of 280 and 40 mg/kg. 0.0 / 0.0 (limit 2.5) Pass

"Not Detected" means the element was below the laboratory reporting limit. Full SGS test reports (NGBHL26005778701 and NGBHL26005778901, dated July 14, 2026) are available on request.
