AVOID COSTLY MISTAKES THIS ANTELOPE SEASON

When comparing all North American ungulates antelope are by far the most unique. They neither have true horns or true antlers, but a sheath made of keratin that is shed annually. This keratin sheath poses a difficult situation when it comes to caping them for a shoulder mount as the hair is often intermingled into the “horn”. With being just weeks away from the antelope opener here is a quick tip to make life easy on your taxidermist.
