This one came right down to the wire. It was the end of a five day hunt on November 11, 2009 in western Kansas. Ten minutes before deciding to climb down from the tree and head home empty handed, this mature 10 point came rushing in to 20 yards chasing a young basket buck. I quickly drew my PSE X-Force and lit him up a new Lumen-Arrow tipped with a deadly Trophy Taker Terminal T-Lock broadhead. I hit money and the buck went 60 yards and collapsed. I used Outdoor Edge’s new Flip n’ Zip double blade folder to quickly field dress the buck and load him in the truck. Me and my cameraman Kirk were all smiles the whole six hour drive back to Colorado. It just goes to show, persistence pays off and it’s not over till it’s over.
