I bought this set before going to deer camp this year. We killed 6 deer between everyone at camp and I processed all the deer with these knifes. They held a very good edge through the whole process. After skinning the fourth deer and boning out the meat they needed a little sharpening. We hand cut all of the meat no slicer or meat saw and the butcher and boning knifes did a great job.

Also the game shears do great for skinning and cleaning small game such as squirrels. Cut right through the leg bones and neck bone. Did a fantastic job.

I sweetened these blades up a bit out of the box and took a doe apart in about an hour. Used all but the boning knife. Loved the caper. Can't beat these knives for the money. My wife did not like me using her kitchen knives to butcher deer. I would buy them again today

Although I have not had a chance to use this set yet on any game/gamefish - for the money - it is a very good buy. the sharpness of all of the blades is very good - I like the quality of all of the knives. I like the fact that a sharpening tool is also included. I think that this a valuable set of knives that any sportsman; be it a hunter, fisherman, camper would enjoy and use.

Highest quality kit for the price available anywhere. The knives are easy to hold on to when bloody or wet and hold an edge longer than my very expensive custom made skinning knife. The clean-up of this kit is easy as you just wash the knives with soap and water and spray out the case with water, wipe it out or hit it with some compressed air and it is ready for the next job. I use them camping as well. Five stars for this kit in my book.
